Clooney to write Escape from Tehran

George Clooney is to co-write a drama-comedy about how the CIA used a fake movie project to smuggle six Americans out of Tehran during the hostage crisis in 1979.
Variety reports that Clooney will co-write the script for 'Escape from Tehran' with his production partner Grant Heslov; the duo previously collaborated together on 'Good Night, and Good Luck'.

The new film is based on an article by Joshuah Berman from Wired magazine.

Clooney and Heslov will produce the film through their company, Smoke House, and the actor could also star in the film.
